America’s Gift To My Generation
America’s gift to my generation is freedom, America is now a symbol of freedom. Ever since July 4, 1776 America has been free. The most recognized laws for freedom in America is the original ten amendments. The first amendment states that you have the right of freedom of speech. That basically says you can’t say whatever you want and you can’t be criminalized for it. That is one gift America has given to my generation out of many. Another amendment probably the most recognized amendment is the second amendment stating that the American citizen has the right to bare arms. The only reason we have these rights is because of veterans willing to sacrifice their own lives to give us these freedoms. My father and brother

Patriotism is detected and celebrated in America more than other countries. The American National Election Study has reported that millennials are less likely to hold the symbols of America in the same high-standing as older generations, but focus more on the ideas of equality and opportunity (Vavreck). Mcgrath skillfully deploys patriotism to provoke Americans to support her statement that members of congress need to stand up to the president. Since “this is not what America stands for” is such a broad statement she successfully gains the support of Americans in a wide range of age. As a consequence of this, her statement is effective as it obtains the endorsement of many people through…

“Give me liberty, or give me death!” Patrick Henry’s famous words still remain in history to influence our country, but many Americans generally neglect this phrase. We often take our freedom for granted without understanding how our Founding Fathers fought for our liberty from Britain. As Americans, we should respect our country and the freedom and rights given to us. We shouldn’t take this for granted because so many people around the world are unfortunate to not have this gift that most of us were born with or given.…

One of the first ways my generation plays a unique roll is by studying our nation’s history. If we do not learn from the mistakes of past generations and leaders, then we are doomed to make the same mistakes of the past. This rising new American generation must take the time to study our heritage. We must learn the values of which this great nation was founded upon. We must become active in America’s current…

For all of my life, I have been an American citizen. I’ve never thought of my freedoms and rights as being a blessing, for I’ve never known anything different. But now that I have gone to DC and have seen all of our national buildings and landmarks, like the white house, Arlington Cemetery, the Jefferson Memorial, and so on, I now have a newly founded appreciation for my liberties. All of the rights I have as an american are very special and unique, for the concept of everyone being equal was new in our world. Also, the bravery of our forefathers is astonishing, for they could have been tried and hung for treason if we didn’t win the war. And the government they establish is completely original and is completely, as put by our 16th president, Abraham Lincoln, “of the people, by the people, for the people,” and in my opinion, constructed in liberty, and most importantly, freedom.…

This nation thrives on preserving our personal freedoms, property, and liberty; moreover, it is the nation’s promise to its citizens. I was always taught as a young girl that I could be anything I wanted to be with zero limitations and I have always believed that was America’s promise to me. Throughout history, our nation has expanded, changed, and developed over the many decades where we see that this nation has broken and kept its promise.…

An optimistic, spirited, and wise man, Ronald Reagan, once acknowledged, “We will always be proud. We will always be prepared, so we will always be free.” America is a country deeply rooted in freedom. Liberties are found in the Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution. The United States is our homeland where citizens celebrate the blessings of liberation, are united as one in nature and purpose, and come together in agreement that without the American military, our country would not be “... land of the free and the home of the brave.”…

America has set an example for the rest of the world. We are the pioneers of freedom and justice. Our valiant military members work in a sedulous manner, day and night to maintain freedom for all Americans. The pursuit of freedom all started like a seed when we revolted against the British to establish this great country. Other foreign countries saw America as a trailblazer, as we made our own path to freedom. America inspired other countries such as France to rise up, and fight for what is truly yours: freedom. This was just the beginning of the freedom movement. Countries everywhere were resisting egregious leaders to start their own movement. Foreign nations hindered by a lack of leadership took initiative and rose up for their rights. America’s dedication to freedom is best represented by…

I think that the education system has been confusing our students and this generation in understanding Patriotism from one hand and the community our students belong to from the other hand. When I talk about our students I mean our kids and the young people. The people who’ll form the future of this country. Those students are living in two different environments. One is the school they spend most of the day at, and the environment which their home.…
