I agree with you that even though documentation of meeting, disciplining, and/or the hiring process is a timely constraint on supervisors and managers at times it can be very beneficially in the long run. Since disparate treatment is considered to be the most common form of intentional discrimination it still is not easy to prove because of lack of evidence (Lidge, 2011). In your example you provided, it seems that you had the proper documentation to prove your reasoning against what could have been considered age discrimination. When the average girl sees a super model such as Britney spears wearing Abercrombie and Fitch they think the key to being beautiful and popular is to match their wardrobes.     Age and obesity discrimination is the fastest growing type of discrimination in the workforce. The federal government established The Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 which protected workers 40- years-old and older from being discriminated against based on age. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) investigates claims of workplace age discrimination in workers 40-years-old and older.     When thinking of the words age discrimination you most likely thought of teenagers not being able to get a job. Teenagers are described as “inexperienced” or “hypersexual” but this stereotype is not based facts but on opinions.
