The Unwanted
Abortion is a big issue in our society; it has been debated for many decades. There are people that are against abortion (Pro-life) and then there are people that are for it (Pro-choice). This is one of those topics where there is no right or wrong, people have their own strong opinions about it. Although there are many situations females face that lead to an abortion; it’s still a serious decision to make.
People who are pro-life are strongly against abortion. They believe abortion is considered murder, and a crime. In this case they see murdering an unborn child just as bad as taking someone’s life. These people spend hours outside abortion clinics, trying to prevent others from going through with an abortion. On the other hand people who are pro-choice strongly believe a women should have a choice whether they want to keep their baby or not. Women should have control over their own bodies. Both have good arguments so it’s hard to say who’s right and who’s wrong. …show more content…
Many people believe it was so high before, because of lack of knowledge about safe sex and abortions. “In 2007, 84% of all abortions were performed on , unmarried women 33% of them where between the ages of 20 -24 and 24% were between 25 and 29”. (CDC) In the same year about 17% of teens had gone through an abortion as well. Many of the reasons for having an abortion were, they were too young, it would interfere with school or work, or they could not afford a child. There is large amount of parents who forced their teens to have abortions, for some of the same reasons. In 2011 the numbers came down
