A Narrative Essay On Emily Bowman
Emily Bowman- Emily has been my best friend all throughout high school. We have been through so much together and I don’t know what either of us would do without the other one. I would say one of my favorite memories with Emily is probably driving around town and driving through the graveyard on Beck Road. I remember we pulled in and as I kept going we swore we weren’t scared and then the road turned into gravel and the exit gate was locked so we had to do a U-turn in the middle of the graveyard. All I know is that I ended up screaming and speeding out.

Alexa Dixon- Alexa is someone I known for awhile but we got really close my Junior year in Carter’s class. Alexa is someone I know I can always talk to and she will make me feel so much better about myself. One of my favorite memories with Alexa is going out to eat with her and Alex at 54th street and then driving through the Christmas lights at Krug. It was so cold and snowy but so much fun and we were blaring music and it was just so much fun.

Kiley Conroy-Kiley was the first person I got really close with when I started high school. We both had decided to go to Benton and didn’t know ANYONE. So we gravitated more towards each other. I remember walking into English our first day and seeing her and

I never knew who she was talking about until one day we all hung out. Kameron is like distant family but we never got close until high school. We eventually started spending every day together. We also were pretty ornery together but we always had fun. Kameron could always make me smile and laugh. He was such a good friend to me but he ended up moving back to Iowa after Sophomore year. One of my favorite memories is probably new years when we were all at my house and stayed up all night talking. We would always go do donuts in parking lots and walk around walmart and play with things. We always did pointless things but had so much

Emily is a 24yo, G1 P0, who was seen for an ultrasound evaluation and assessment and transfer of care. As you know, she has type 2 diabetes and had a recent hemoglobulin A1C performed in your office of 6.8. She currently is not on medication. Based on her height and weight at the start of the pregnancy, her BMI was about 42. She unfortunately has a history of abuse and domestic violence. She is hepatitis C positive but I am uncertain about a viral load. She does have some issues with anxiety and depression and post-traumatic stress disorder but is currently not on treatment. She also does smoke cigarettes but is down to about ¼ pack per day. Overall she believes that her LMP was in July, which would suggest that she is about 13-14 weeks…

Imagining the boundaries of the human soul, it is crazy to think the pain one person must endure. Other than the ghastly images that Rowlandson characterized throughout the narrative, what I found most fascinating was the twentieth remove where she summarizes her situation of the past several months. The final remove is what stood out to me and I think is the most important because it emphasizes her undying hope and belief towards God. After all the hardships she went through, she still kept her faith in god and that commitment of her towards God above all other things was what amazed me. Not only was the twentieth remove fascinating, it was disturbing in most ways. In the beginning of twentieth remove Rowlandson states, “They would say now…

I was in the sixth grade when I first met my best friend Jamilex. Jamilex and I were really close, we did everything together; our homework, went to the movies, hung out in the park, and often went her house where we had conversations about guys. We tried to spend time together as often as possible, because we didn't see each other during school hours since she attended a different junior High school.
