A Few Good Men Character Analysis
George is the main character and the movie starts off when he was little. George and his older brother were sledding down a hill with some friends and there was a thin part in the ice that George's brother sled into and fell in the water, George jumped into save him and as a result he lost his hearing in one ear. Later in life George takes over the banks due to his father becoming ill on George's and Mary's wedding night. In 1929 when the Great Depression or Black Tuesday when the stock market crashed crippling the US and world Economy. George tries to keep the bank open and help people by giving their honeymoon money and bank money to people. When his uncle takes over the bank he loses the banks money and Mr.Potter who wants to own the town and the bank. When George's uncle loses the money …show more content…
If George didn't take over the bank Mr.Potter would have taken the town over creating a crime rattled and depressing town called Potterstown. The bank wouldn't have saved people's homes resulting in them becoming homeless. Mary would have never gotten married and would stay unhappy for life. George realizes how he has changed lives when he runs into hi home which is abandoned and he wants to live because he wants to value what he has. When George comes home all the people from the bank who houses he saved have come to save the bank by giving George money and George famous lines are "I'm the richest man in the world" which means he has friends which is the greatest thing a person can have and "It's a wonderful life" which means that life is wonderful no matter what and to value what you have and the people you affect. George's daughter has the most famous line being " Every time a bell rings an old angel gets it wings" meaning that clearance the angel finally got his wings with the help of George. The movies theme is for people to value life and the People in it and to realize how you can affect ones life with a small action or big action and how you can

    Southern Gothic Literature is often distinguished from other genres of literature through author’s fixation on the grotesque, as well as their development of damaged, or even delusional characters. Among demonstrating these recurrent themes in “Good Country People”, Flannery O'connor focuses on the stark contrast between each character’s self proclaimed identities versus their true nature. From a judgmental character like Mrs. Hopewell uttering “Everybody is Different” (O’connor 3), to Manley Pointer pulling pornographic playing cards from his Bible, O’connor has packed her story from start to finish with irony, making the characters more memorable and the climax more shocking. But why go the lengths that O’connor, along with most other Southern Gothic Authors, has to create such intensively ironic situations? Because as unappealing as it sounds, hypocrisy is one of the most relatable human traits.     “A good Man is Hard to Find” by Flannery O'Conner depicts a southern family, who is at odds about where they should go for a family vacation.
