Dispatcher- Jefferson County 911

Patti- Yes uh I am a teacher at columbine high school and there is a student here with a gun that just shot out of a window.

Dispatcher- Has anyone been injured ma’am.

Patti- I am not sure, I hear shots outside of the library were I am and a crowd of students are also here with me.

Dispatcher-Okay, tell the student to get under the tables ma’am.

Patti– STUDENTS UNDER THE TABLES!!!!! HEADS DOWN UNDER THE TABLES KIDS!!!!!!! We are trying to get things under control but we need the police here ASAP!!

Dispatcher– Okay were getting them there right away, ma’am do you know who the student is that has the gun.

Patti– I do not know who the student is.

Dispatcher– Okay.

Patti– Oh god! I hear closer shots near the library what I should do OMG we are all going to die ohhhhhhhh my gooooossssshhh!! I saw a student in the hall with a gun while I was on hall duty and I asked what was going on out there and the kid said it was just for a film production. I told him that I don’t think that is a good idea so then I started to walk outside and he pointed the gun at us and started to shoot and the kid standing next to me I think he got shot (shots close enough to hear).

Dispatcher- Okay.

Patti– (Shots being heard) oh! God!

Dispatcher- Ma’am, ma’am, ma’am just calm down help is on the way, is their anything you can use to block the doors with?

Patti- We are all going to die we don’t have anything to block the dumb door with why did I come to school what the heck is going to happen to my kids.

Dispatcher- Ma’am just stay quiet what is happing now do you know where the gunman is.

Patti- I think he is upstairs he is right outside of the library.

Dispatcher- Outside the hall or.

Patti- Sorry outside in the hall there are a lot of alarms going off right now oh god I think there is smoke coming into this room. Is there anyone coming to help us what is happening?

Dispatcher- Yes there is a
