At the age of five, the child cognitive skills rapidly developed and progress throughout grade school. Their cognitive skills such as thinking, memory and attention can be develop or advance more by practicing with the right training. As a teacher my job is to help the preschooler to stay focus for a period of time also to retain memory what he/she has learn and experience. Expose them to accomplish what they want to do and to ask for help if needed. In order to do this I will have to pick a topic the preschoolers will be interested to gain their attention. Singing a rhyme can help the child’s brain retain the content. Reading them a story and asked them question about the story and let them have the opportunity to asked question.

I can help the child’s develop their listening skills by calling their name and see if they responds or I can give out instruction and see if they do properly. Teach the child to speak clearly so other can understand by communicating with their peers using complete sentence of four or more words. I can teach preschooler how to read by letting them point out words as I read out loud and let them repeat words I speak.
