the moral decay of or our society is as bad at the top as the bottom Riot: A noisy, violent public disorder caused by a group or crowd of people, by a crowd protesting against another group, a government policy, etc., in the streets. It can be a disturbance of public peace which is carried out by three or more people working together in a disorderly manner carrying out their private purposes. Consternation was upon my face as I was walking through Leicester’s town after the riots had transpired and observed every demolished window, every disengaged manikins, all the ripped designer clothes, every broken bottles and could not help but speculate who had done more of the damage: the rioters or the unethical politicians. Mark Duggan, was shot dead in the chest and arm after the taxi he was travelling in was stopped by police on 4th August 2011. The rioting was caused by “the young group’s alienated disaffected youths who are outside the social mainstream and who live in culture at odds with any laws of proper conduct”. Young people were once more, unfortunately, in the firing line because of the abysmal scenes of rioting and looting which aroused. The public think that most looters were youths and gangs but actually 37% of the rioters were over thirty years old. Citizens have a stereotypical picture of a teenager and seem to be under the impression that they are moody, uncouth, crude and sometimes in a gang. A wide spectrum of society took part in the riots and not all were in a gang. Many "people see teenagers in hooded tops and think it's a gang." The Blackberry Messenger should have been suspended as soon as it was correlated to the starting of the riots. One Blackberry Messenger broadcasted and urged protesters to go looting "I don't care what ends you're from, we're personally inviting you to come and get it in.” As the Police could not access any of the messages they would have had no idea about the chaos which was approaching the streets.
