• Was there anything in either the University Of Phoenix Student Code Of Conduct or the Student Code of Academic Integrity that surprised you? If so, what was it? Why were you surprised? If not, why not?
When reading the Student Code of Conduct I don’t think anything really surprised me. I feel as an adult everyone should be able to conduct themselves as one. We as students pay our money and should be able to come to school in a decent learning environment and also feel safe. I’ve had problems with schools in the past where the students conducted themselves as kids, this really affected me and I found it hard to concentrate in class and/or while completing assignments. After not being able to tolerate it much longer I withdrew from the classes and never returned. So as a student of University of Phoenix I appreciate the concern for the students and wanting to provide us with the best education possible to help us complete our goals.
• What did you learn about the behaviors considered important for an ethical learner or student in the University of Phoenix learning community?
What I learned about the behaviors considered important is not only are they unacceptable on campus but off campus as well. Our rights and responsibilities will only improve our services and skills, students may not like the rules but later on will understand why they were important. University of phoenix takes these rules and our school environment seriously. Things like plagiarism are not tolerated but I never really knew that schools noticed documents being plagiarized and false information. I learned that some situations and actions can cause us to be untrustworthy, and each of our actions plays a big part in the learning community. Everyone should be respected and we all should vale our education.
