P&G had sales goals for its products and newer products were not meeting these goals. They had been focusing on incremental innovations with existing products and not innovative new products. Company leaders began to realize that maintaining current innovation/creation product goals were not going to be productive in meeting the yearly sales goals. The result of this discovery began the process for creating a new model to foster more rapid innovation within the company. This would lead to marketing new products to consumers more quickly, and also accelerate revenue and profit. P&G wanted to meet these goals while retaining their reputation for quality products.…

The individual values mentioned are what drive each of our team members’ actions and behaviors. The driving force behind each member’s perception of the value has a purposeful meaning that comes about whether or not consciously thought about while performing unified tasks. Values are integral to attitude formation and to how we respond to people and situations. Individual values drive different behaviors, which in turn drive personal performance and ultimately organizational performance (Graziadio Business Report, 2009).…

(Hesselbein & Shinseki, 2004) Our values are affected and often defined by the culture that we are raised in. “Values are the principles and standards accepted by the members; attitudes encompass the actions, feelings, and thoughts that result from those values. Cultural values often stem from deep-seated beliefs about the individual’s position in relation to his or her diety, the family, and the social hierarchy’. (Griffin & Pustay, 2013) Values, such as duty, loyalty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage are an important part of a leader’s character, since values greatly impact one’s behavior. A definition of a value is not easy to define exactly. They are something primary and personal to each of us. Our values help us navigate our personal and professional lives and guide us in making decisions. Considered our internal compass, they help give us direction and point out our true selves, values are the starting points for morality and ethics. They are developed throughout the course of our lives, taking from all of our life experiences. This lifelong collaboration and interaction of values, morals and ethics is what defines who we are. But there is a hierarchy to our values, some are transient and adaptable while others hold more worth, influencing the judgments we make. These values are our foundation, and they will never change,…
