1. COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The essentials of college algebra. Topics include polynomials, first degree equations, word problems, graphing, and systems of linear equation, factoring, exponents, quadratic equations, matrices, and radicals.

2. COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Upon completing this course students should have an in depth understanding of data analysis, graphing data, stating a problem in mathematical format, solving various algebraic expressions, following an algorithm, applying an algebraic algorithm to a problem and making sense of the final outcome.
