THE IMPORTANCE OF PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
The importance of personal responsibility is the most important ethic that you can exercise with the cultivation of personal responsibility comes growth in all areas of life. It is a matter of taking charge of your own life and your circumstances through well- directed thoughts, words, and deeds. Personal responsibility is very important because it is an obligation to oneself. It is your individual duty to ensure your good character and behavior irrespective of how you were brought up and what kind of conditioning you have received. Individual responsibility also includes being accountable for the degree and level of your health, wealth, success, and happiness.
UPHOLDING ACADEMIC HONESTY
Upholding academic honesty means to gather information that can be useful to you, and for social support. You need to think and generate positive energy to see yourself through and everyone should do their own work and not take credit for others, and always quote others work and remain honest. Academic honesty is a commitment , even in the face of adversity, to five fundamental values. Honesty, trust, respect, fairness, and responsibility. Academic integrity is the pursuit of scholarly activity in an open, honest, and responsible manner. It is important because it gives you the needed credibility and confidence to succeed in your career and in life. Generally speaking, no matter if in life, school, or work academic integrity is something everyone should have. Without integrity there is nothing.
IMPROVING READING AND STUDY SKILLS
As a student you are faced with the need to read and take notes on a lot of information. You will not get the most out of the time you will allot for studying if you read inefficiently. Here are some ways you can improve your reading and study skills.
Do your heaviest reading assignment when you are most alert. A physical task takes more time to accomplish when you are tired.
