I wish I had spent more time on him
Write a story ending with: "...I wish I had spent more time with him. But it is too late now." 'Must you go?" asked Timmy, with pleading eyes. I kept quiet for a few moments. " Timmy...I promise you, I'll be back. It's only three years. I will still keep in touch with you even though I'm thousands miles away from you. I promise, I'll come and visit you during my semester breaks." Timmy gave a reluctant nod and since then on, I only saw him in real every four months. Timmy was a 6 years old boy I met during a volunteer programmes at orphanages. My volunteer work experience was eye-opening and life-changing. I was with the younger kids every day. We interacted by playing games, doing art, singing and dancing. About half way through, the older kids at the orphanage had a holiday so I was able to spend time with them and bond with them as well. Overall I had a great time. Timmy is a child that diagnosed with leukaemia. Yet, he is a very adorable, smart, and a cheerful child. Besides that, He always carry his teddy bear whenever he go. "I never feel lonely nor scared when I hugging my teddy" he said. I enjoyed spending my time with them very much, especially Timmy. Today, was just a week ago I back from England after I graduated from college. The scorching sun hanging high in the sky on this gorgeous morning. I maneuvered my car under the shady tree and stomped on the brakes. My car screeched to a halt and I stepped out of my car. The gush of cold breeze caressed my cheeks, welcoming me warmly to their territory. The sound of flowing water colliding with the rocks in the pierced my ears. "Timmy will be surprised later." I whispered in my mind. When I stepped into the orphanage, I was welcomed by the orphanage director and some children. But I could not found Timmy. "Where is Timmy?" I asked the orphanage director out of curious. "Elaine...I'm sorry that I kept a secret from you. I guess it's the time I should let you know now." the orphanage director answered and took me to aside. "Timmy left us last month due to his blood cancer. He wants me to pass this diary book for you. He said he really glad that he can met you in his life, for being someone that cared him like he is her own brother." the orphanage director said. My heart squeezed when I heard the news. I had to bite my lips to refrain myself from crying out loud. My chest was jerking. I wish this is just a dream. The orphanage director gave me a warm hug, "Stay strong, Elaine. I know how you feel. Everything will be alright. Timmy is doing well now with God. Trust me." At the afternoon, accompany by the orphanage director, I visited Timmy's grave. A rush of memories and emotions coursed through my being. How I wish I had spent more time with him. But it is too late now.

The fact that there is no kind of emotional response between them, and they are nothing but event after event, makes this piece a running style text. It almost makes it feel as if there was no importance on what has happened, it simply happened and the day went on. Not only that there is no emotional response presented, but that the character even refers to Timmy as “bless his soul, always thought was silly”. The lack of response is not only shocking,…

“Hey, we are in Tennessee”, my husband said as he lightly shook my shoulder until I acknowledged him with opening my grayish green eyes. “Good morning beautiful, only a half an hour away from the vacation you have always wanted us to take.” Instantly the widest smile you could ever imagine covered my face. I was so happy to be there rolling up an over these bright green hills into the mountains that harbor the cabin we would soon occupy. “I love you so much.” “I cannot even begin to explain how much this means to me Adam”. I said as we past the sign displaying a two mile away conformation that was truly needed do to the navigation becoming obsolete when we began winding thru the one lane roads. “Beautiful,” I said as we pulled up to the cabin.” ”Absolutely beautiful, even more so then I imagined”, said Adam as the slightest drops of rain began to fall from one of the few clouds that floated above. “I wonder what the weather is forecasted to be this week”. I asked as we walked hand in hand with my romantic husband into the two story cabin and on to making my dream come true.…
