I want to become a Nurse Practitioner b
I want to become a Nurse Practitioner because I want to be able to help other people regarding their healthcare needs. I have been told my compassion for others is wonderful, and that I have a healing/calming energy surrounding me. As a NP I will have more legitimacy in advocating for my client to his or her M.D. As a Nurse I too have some clout, but not in comparison to having an NP. I think M.D.’s question why a person hasn’t tried to the best of their ability to become educated to the highest standard possible when listening to a Nurse’s concern. Like it or not, this is a mindset of some.
Some history that can help explain why I feel so strongly about advocating for others is because I have a strange and unique life story myself.
