This is because during the colony of the Spain, it has its traditional oldest university, colleges, vocational school and the world’s first modern public school education system. We could clearly see that the colonization has the huge influence in the education of the United States and the Philippines.
Although elementary grade is required, recent official statistics illustrates that 27.82 percent of children who have not attend or finished elementary schools are still exist in the United States and the Philippines,
The United States’ average tuition fees for colleges and universities in public schools are more than 51 dollars while in the Philippines’ average tuition fees are about 69,95 peso or 3,216 dollars (public school). But on the other hand, even though most of the students in America has been successfully complete his or her education, there are still problems in employment. When composing the Constitution in 1789, the Founding Fathers were anxious to stress that the executive branch of the new republic was to be subordinate to the peoples’ representation, the Congress. They achieved this through the Separation of Powers, a theory of government thought up by the French philosopher Montesquieu to prevent over-mighty or tyrannical government. The elaborate system of ‘checks and balances’ introduced greatly reduced the traditional authority of the executive, leaving some to argue that U.S. presidents have been left with very little power, if only the power of persuasion. However to what extent is this true? Theodore Roosevelt famously stated that he was both “king and prime minister”, even though other presidents, such as Johnson and Truman have stressed the weakness of the presidency.…

Planning the perfect party is never easy, but it is often the most rewarding. Party is an interesting event. When planning, keep in mind how many people to invite, the location, and a theme. Whether it is a large or small party, taking a few minutes to create a plan ensures the perfect party will be a success. First, deciding the location is the most important aspect because it affects all others: the guest list, the budget, the menu, and to an extent, the theme. It needs to be large enough to accommodate everyone invited, have a large enough food preparation area, and ample space for the decorations. It is important to find a place that will not cause the person to become suspicious. Second, it is necessary to know the person well in order to pick a theme they will appreciate. When choosing a…

Education system is one of the most crucial characteristics that define one nation. Furthermore, secondary education system is especially valuable; since one’s self-esteem starts to form during adolescence. Since my parents decided to move to America when I was sixteen years old, I had a unique opportunity to be educated in two different countries, which are Korea and United States in my adolescence. Moreover, this unique opportunity always made me compare the two different education systems that I have been benefited. In fact, United States has exceptionally advanced education system that many developing countries refer to it when they build a new education system. Moreover, Korea also modeled its education system from one in America, when it underwent inevitable change of the education system from modernization. Therefore, education systems from two different countries have many similarities. However, there are much more differences between two education systems than similarities from my experience.…

Filipinos hold close several values. One of them is education. We have complete faith in formal schooling as we have the notion that to be educated is to have a better life. Education is regarded as a gateway to improving our social and economic status. Sending to college is one of the priorities of the Filipino family. However, with the economic difficulties and relatively high cost of college education in the country, many families find it difficult to send their children to college. The average yearly cost of education continues to increase. As anxiety rises concerning the escalating costs of schooling, students are left with the decision of how to fund their education. As society continually advances, consumers are becoming increasingly dependent on safe and reliable vehicles. In 2010, there was an estimation that the number of automobiles had risen to over 1 billion vehicles, up from the 500 million of 1986 (Lehner). At the beginning of 2013, the Toyota Prius hybrid was the third best selling family car in the world (PopSci). When the latest generation of plug-in electric cars hit the mass market three years ago, they evoked the same mix of reactions as hybrids did: enthusiasm, curiosity, and some skepticism. However, they're selling at more than twice the rate at which the first widely available hybrids left dealers' lots. The main factors of this increase are most likely due to their reliability, affordability, and quality.…
