Re: E-learning in business
Enclosed you will find the information requested on August 8th. The information includes both the advantages and disadvantages of e-learning in the business world.

There seems to be various issues with e-learning in business. Online learning detracts from focus and learning. In addition, there are many different learning styles and some people cannot adapt to this laissez-faire type of learning. Having no real structure or commitment for people in e-learning makes it difficult for those who are used to a traditional learning environment.

In order to solve the various issues with e-learning we must understand the problem. The problem stands with how e-learning is structured and unmonitored. We should implement a structured plan for employees that will enroll in the e-learning program. Including a monitoring system would ensure these employees are not falling behind or leaving their work to a search engine

Thanks for allowing me to conduct research in your behalf. Researching e-learning has made me very knowledgeable in the matter. If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call.

One important question in e-learning is regarding why it is not always liked by people. Why are individuals reluctant to participate in e-learning sessions and why do they not like them? These questions, although not applicable to all the students, apply to many (Juutinen and Saariluoma 2006). Nevertheless, it is a real problem for the future development of this mode of teaching. If a large segment of people do not like e-learning, it easily slows down the development of the field and causes divisions between people who will and can benefit from e-learning courses, and people who cannot. Thinking about the future, the mental obstacles for participating in e-learning easily result in losing important opportunities in advancing one's personal…

First of all, Internet reading, in particular, could be such a source of distractions for the student that they may cancel out most other potential benefits of a Web-linked, e-learning environment. In addition, even though lightweight e-books benefit students’ backs, the astounding costs to outfit every student with an e-reader and pay for regular software updates promise to make the e-textbook a very pricey option. From the author’s perspective, we shouldn’t jump at a new technology simply because it has advantages, only time and study will reveal its disadvantages and show the value of what we’ve left behind.…

Mostly an e-Learning course is a self study course. E-learning is changing the way companies (Cisco systems, BAE Systems) gain competitive advantage through efficient use of funds and time with employees. SBUs enterprises have to face the problem that e-learning technologies, methods and strategies have mostly been developed for the needs of large enterprises and cannot be exactly transferred to their needs.
