Samenvatting In deze whitepaper staat de ontwikkeling van e-HRM centraal. Daarbij is het nuttig te weten welke fases er zijn te onderscheiden in de ontwikkeling hiervan. U leest ook wat de vijf technische redenen zijn waarom de internettechniek achter e-HRM zo populair is.

Inleiding E-HRM wordt vaak ingezet als informatiemiddel. Online personele regelingen, personeelshandboek of HRM-nieuws blijven het meest populair. De toepassingen die gericht zijn op het stroomlijnen en efficiënter maken van HRM-processen worden steeds meer geïmplementeerd binnen organisaties. Shared Service Centers (SSC) voor HRM, die als bedoeling hebben om met name administratieve processen te ondersteunen, zijn na SSC voor Finance en Accounting, het meest populair in Nederland. Hiervoor wordt ICT ingezet om de processen te centraliseren. De vacaturebank op het eigen intranet of op internet wordt veel gebruikt. Een groot deel van de activiteiten van de afdeling HRM is gericht op het ontwikkelen van medewerkers. e-HRM toepassingen ter ondersteuning van de ontwikkeling van medewerkers (zoals online-trainingen of elektronische beoordelingsinstrumenten) worden over het algemeen minder gebruikt.
