There are a lot of problems in our country involving politics and governance. Some are corruption, improper way of governing, and so on and so forth. One of the most controversial issues is bribery. Bribery is wrong because it tempts those being bribe not to do their jobs in the right way. But some cannot tend to resist bribery because they are in situations, which they need to accept it. For example, some people being bribed receive very low amount of salary that’s why they are forced to accept it for the benefit of his/her family. Another situation is the greediness of people. There are people, who accept bribery because they want more money. They do not think about the good of their country. Last situation that shows bribery is when people are put to situations that they cannot reject it.

Like what I have mentioned, corruption is one problem experienced by our country. It has a great impact not only in our country, but also in our lives. Corruption can lead to unfinished projects for our country. It can also increase the number of people experiencing poverty in our country. Another effect of it is that less benefit are given to the citizens of the country. Last, it could lead to the sinking of our economy.

The part that struck me the most is when an official showed the funds of our government for a certain product compared to its original price, which is very astonishing to see. I was struck in this part because I realized how much money the government is gaining and the Filipino citizens are losing. To lessen the corruption existing in every part of our society, I will show the people how much is the effect of the government’s corruption through documentaries like we viewed. The church needs to be involved in this issue, because they can help in correcting the morality of the people in our government, and the following generations so that we can remove the root of our

Eric Erikson believed that egos exist from birth and behavior is not totally defensive. He organized life into eight stages that extend from birth to death (many developmental theories only cover childhood). Since adulthood covers a span of many years, Erikson divided the stages of adulthood into the experiences of young adults, middle aged adults and older adults. While the actual ages may vary considerably from one stage to another, the ages seem to be appropriate for the majority of people. Erikson 's basic philosophy might be said to rest on two major themes: (1) the world gets bigger as we go along and (2) failure is cumulative. While the first point is fairly obvious, we might take exception to the last. True, in many cases an individual who has to deal with horrendous circumstances as a child may be unable to negotiate later stages as easily as someone who didn 't have as many challenges early on. For example, we know that orphans who weren 't held or stroked as infants have an extremely hard time connecting with others when they become adults and…

Implementation, evaluation and control are like the three legs of a stool; remove one, and the stool wobbles and crashes to the ground. If you remove one of these items from a marketing plan, it falls apart, and the plan won't succeed. All three are necessary for the successful completion of marketing activities that help businesses achieve their strategic goals.…

In today’s media world, we have the ability to access innumerable amounts of information. Such accessibility provides a positive impact on our lives, but at the same time leaves us vulnerable in conforming to information that is not trustworthy and false. We must not be passive when we are subjected to the various types of media, we must be active. Meaning we must analyze the information at hand and use our reason to come to a conclusion as to whether or not the information is factual. As I began reading Chapter 1 in Mediactive by Dan Gillmor, I was presented with an email that informed me of a discussion between Lt. Col. Oliver North and senator Al Gore. I found myself in acceptance with the information the email provided. I was so intrigued over the fact that Osama Bin Laden had been a threat to Americans since 1987. As I continued reading the material I came to find out that the email was just a form of propaganda. I was so surprised when I found out this email was fiction, and must not trust any information unless it’s backed up by a verifiable source. This made me think back to when I was in my good old Middle School days. I would trust information presented to me by my friends, never questioning if the information was trustworthy or not. Since there is an abundance of information present in the world, as I previously noted, we must be active participants in order to manage this abundance of information. It is also important to make informed judgments when subjected to information overflow. One must question whether or not the information derived from the specific media at hand is trustworthy. I found it interesting that “it has taken millennia for humanity to produce democratized media.” The fact that the moveable type and printing press, way back when, is where this all started intrigues me. I never would have thought to look at those inventions as the first profound democratization of media.…

It was an exciting day because of the basketball game held last January 28 2012 in Mapua’s gymnasium. The game was in accordance with the commemoration of the founding anniversary of the institute. It was a fight between the present Mapua basketball players and the ex-cardinals. It was a game between yellow team and red team. The yellow team was composed of Madrid, Palomique, Espinosa, Cinco, Alcantara, and Sta. Maria. The red team who were the Mapua Cardinals include Jimenez, Ranises, Pascual, Mazo, Bernales, Guillermo, Co, and Del Rosario. It was an exciting game from the first to the last quarter of the game. Each team has the determination to win especially the Mapua Cardinals when they struggle to earn more points in the two last quarters of the game. The red team had a hard time in the first two quarters of the game but they instantly regain their lead as one of the team shot three-points. There was also an instance wherein the team amazingly got two consecutive three-points which enables them to a one point lead. The last minute of the game gave us the turning point of the story where the ex-cardinals (now struggling to get points), show an intense game play but failed to get any points. The Mapua Cardinals (red team) win by the score, 119-118.…

On the 9th of February, I visited the Ayala Museum with the company of my mother and a friend, in the hopes that I could see some extraordinary things from our country’s (and as well as some parts of Asia’s) past – things that we do not see inside the classroom. To get this show on the road, I think it would be best to begin by saying that I was not at all disappointed.…

Social interaction is the process by which people act and react in relations to others. Through these interactions we go through different roles.
