Introduction: Does having a Christian world view effect the way we handle ourselves in our workplace? Absolutely, it affects us in all sorts of ways. It affects the way I handle myself in my place of business. My words are affected by it, my actions, composure, temperament, etc. The Bible says “God created man in his own image (Genesis 1:27)” If we truly believe this statement and comprehend its meaning we know that this verse is not simply referring to our outward appearance alone but our actions as well. Having this knowledge should give us a better understanding of how we should act and live our life trying to portray Jesus not just in church on Sundays but in our everyday lives including the workplace.
Interacting In the Workplace In business you must first gain trust from you clients if you want repeat business. I am pursing a bakery business and have been baking professionally from my home for many years now. One thing I have learned and my business motto so to speak is “customer service can make or break your business”. This motto is also stated in the Bible “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (Joshua 1:8)” Having a business and making it successful is stressful in its self, however if we are living a true Christian worldview then we know we are created in Gods image. “Then God said, “Let us make man[a] in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. (Genesis 1:26-31)” God also stated in that verse that we are given dominion on everything on earth. I believe in order to receive this truth and make my business prosper I must obey the Ten Commandments that God has
