The Greatest Paper Ever

The movie North By Northwest by Alfred Hitchcock was interesting to watch. It had a good story line because it had an element of mystery and surprise. Originally, I had thought that one of the guys in the mob was the secret agent but it turned out it was the woman. The way she interacted with the people in the mob led me to believe she was not the secret agent. What stood out to me the most was the way they tried to murder Roger Thornhill by pouring a bottle of bourbon down his throat, throwing him in a stolen car and driving him off a cliff. That is very creative and cool. I was happy to see he escaped though he gets buckets. This is good because he was just a regular guy who got mistaken as a international spy and it would be really unfair if he died so soon. I feel like this movie doesn't have much depth after that. It really doesn't strike me as a great movie to write about. The plot was interesting and it had never been done before because it was made in 1950. I can respect the innovation. However, I have seen so many movies similar to this that it was predictable. The arguments in the movie were funny. It was shocking that they said things as blatantly as they did. I never realized they were so inappropriate back in the 1950's, wow. The actors were pretty good but the animation sucked. Although, it was probably the most advanced technology they had during the time the movie was made. Overall, I liked it but it didn't move me. It was good for it's time but I have definitely seen more interesting movies before. I only watch comedies anyways. I enjoyed watching this film because it gave me insight into a different time period of movie making and thrillers. It is hard to say how I feel about this because I am conflicted. On one hand it was interesting and on the other it was predictable.

Though it was a decent film, there was a few flaws. I thought the movie was a little too predictable. There wasn't much to it, and I knew exactly what was going to happen before it did; like when Dana (Eric Phillips) grabbed Roy and tried to…

Throughout the movie there were some negative things that were present within it. Some of these were how the songs would just randomly begin and could make a certain scene loose its significance and meaning, the plot itself seemed to be a bit predictable and disappointing until a plot-twist occurred. The ending of the movie I found confusing and a cliché. Although there were a few negative aspects present in the movie I still believe it was a successful movie and quite enjoyable.…

I have an odd relationship with this film, it entertained me from start to finish, and at no point did it drag or feel grueling. Some might chock that up to good pacing, but I’d chock it up to lots and lots of brainless and inconsequential explosions. Let me be honest with you for a second, I secretly enjoy a lot of films because I know they’re bad, but that doesn’t make them any less enjoyable. This film is going to fit nicely into that collection of films I liked more than my brain tells me I should have. A lot of people are going to…

The soundtrack was impressive and gave suspense and drama as where needed. The special FX was up to date and gave a realistic feel to the movie. The cinematography is what brought this film's ratings up in my opinion. I really like the irony in the lightning, Especially Pegg's use of zoom-ins and quick cuts… hilarious. Also, the camera angles of when Ed drives himself and Shaun to his parent's house dodging zombies left and right was also very entertaining. I believe I almost jumped out of my seat in fright when Ed hit the lurking zombie speeding down the…

In the film North by Northwest (1959), directed by Alfred Hitchcock, is about a successful new york advertiser is accused of being a government agent by a iniquitous group of spies, who pursue him cross country while he tries to stay alive and clean up the mess that’s been made. There is a superb use of mise-en-scene within this film, especially the gun shot scene, that catch the viewers attention, and make a much more noteworthy movie.…

This leads onto the subject concerning the acting. Being at times monotonous and bland, it lacks the emotion and punch that the book delivered.
