CHARACTERS: TOWNSPEOPLE

• They paid their respects to Emily
• But they waited until it was okay to open up the locked up room (par. 56 – “They waited until Miss Emily was decently in the ground before they opened it.”)
• They were extremely curious to see what was kept hidden
(par. 56 – “..there was one room in that region above stairs which no one had seen in forty years, and which would have to be forced.”)
