This question is for Matilda’s parent… You have two beautiful and amazing children but you don’t really notice them. You are too busy with your own life and you won’t take time for your children. Now why you want or you have children?
- Matilda, how is it for you to have parents like that?
-
Miss Trunchbull, you are a huge and strong woman who detest children. But you work every day with children and you are the headmistress of the school. You are terrifyingfor the children and you often punish them with no reason. Why are you the headmistress of a school and why are you so strict to the children?
- Miss Honey how was it for you as you see that your aunt was gone?
- Matilda you have abandoned your parents and now you live with Miss Honey. Don’t you miss your parents and your brother? Do you think it was the right decision?
Matilda’s father was teaching calculating his son. Matilda was sitting on the other side of the room and was reading a book. Then her father asks his son for the result of a calculation. Few seconds later Matilda gave him the result and her brother was still calculating. Her father looked on the paper with the solution on it and saw the result of Matilda was right. But he can’t believe it and says to Matilda that she is a cheater and that she was looking on the paper. Matilda tried to say him that she was calculating by herself but he doesn’t respect her.
While I‘m reading this I became angry. I thought why you stupid father don’t believe your daughter and see that she has a talent. I want to help her and say to her father that he should respect his daughter and aid her. And I was asking me how silly must he be that he doesn’t understand it.

Water is a necessity of life and affects people both physically and mentally. The poets Grace Nichols and Imtiaz Dharker explore the different themes of water in their poems “Island Man” and “Blessing”. These two poems give us a perspective of the cultures and lives of the people described in the poems, but are based on the running theme of water. Although they appear to be very different, they do have some similarities.…

    Small island

Small Island is structured around four competing narratives each claiming historical truth and experience through shifts in setting and time. Levy’s historical novel is told through a series of extended analepsis that move back and forth between 1924 and 1948 as well as across national borders and cultures. Written more than fifty years after the first Windrush arrival, it creates a common narrative of nation and identity in order to understand the experiences of Black people in Post-Colonial Britain. Yet she frames these experiences within those of the British in order to acknowledge all historical truth and to not establish a singular articulation of the experience of migration and empire. Through the alternative narratives Levy attempts to fill the historical gaps and articulate a renegotiation of identity as after World War Two ‘the sun has finally set on the Empire, we are now having to face up to all of these realities.’…

Attending elementary school is one of the most preceptive moments of a child's life. By both teachers and students, I was considered a “teachers pet.” A majority of my teachers had always chosen me as a classroom helper or as a positive behavioral example for the rest of the classmates to mimic. My second grade teacher, Mrs.Minor disliked my goody-two-shoes attitude, and what seemed purposely at the time, belittled me. Mrs.Minor yelled at me for correcting her or for finishing my work too quickly. she allowed me to feel inferior. I was frightened of her and this made me feel awful about my education, myself and especially her. I was so afraid to go to school because of her words and attitude towards me that my mother had to volunteer in my class so that I would go back. This memory of Mrs.Minor has been embedded in my mind until this day, because of her attitude I am more shy and quite in school. This is a clear example of how teachers can affect a child's education.…
