A Day at the Beach 1
A Day at the Beach

Dear teacher, Last holiday, i went to the beach at my hometown as i wanted to enjoy the beautiful beach and release my stress since i’ve got plenty of times during the holiday. Upon arriving i quickly rush to the beach. As I observe, the waves from the shore look fun and almost innocent as they crest and then crash over one another. I can taste the salt in the air and the sun reflects off the water in brilliant colors of rainbow. The clear blue sky with birds soaring over my head searching for food and the scenery was all laid out like an exotic nature drawing in an art gallery. Everything on that beach has its own unique feel and it makes you feel calm and relaxed. The sun is so warm against my hot skin, the salty air blowing on my face feels wet and cool as it passes by. I relax as I watch the surfers gently glide over the tumbling ocean waves, and brightly colored sailboats disappear in the distance.

As it started to get hotter I decided to take a swim to cool off, while i was approaching the water, a little crab was burrowing into the wet sand, trying to get away before been spotted. I saw it totally disappear before making a short run and diving into the ocean's salt water, it feels refreshing to my skin like a glass of iced water on a hot day.

I swimming in the water with other swimmers a couple of times. In an instant, I felt like I is no longer floating on the water, but soaring like one of the beautiful white birds through the misty air and all around the beautiful beach.

I wanted to enjoy more but time seems to forbid me from enjoying the beautiful beach anymore. It was late evening and i had to go home before the sun sets. That is all about the my day at the beach. I have to pen off now. See you later.

As I waltzed on the beach, squishing down the hot buttery-yellow sand that gave off the hot sensation of a burning grill sizzling my feet, I was immediately taken by the scent of freshly sliced fruits and freshly picked flowers. As you move along, brightly colored fruit stalls filled the sidewalks from which fresh fruit is cut. From a fruit stand, the scent travelled all across the beach with the help of the cool breeze which allowed the scent to fill the air. With my eyes closed, I breathed in the ocean bliss that paraded the beach. As I turn towards the sea, I was amazed. It was a deep blue in some areas but in others a glistening turquoise green. As I made my way towards the water as it laps over each time it reaches to the shore, overhead I heard the frantic screech of seagulls like a sharp knife dragged along a glass. As you dive into the deep blue ocean you can feel and taste the chilly, cool and refreshing water surrounding your body as chills ran down my back. Further from the beach there was a volcano that looked like a giant firework to…

Then, waking up to the sound of play, fun, and laughter. Children and adults screams playfully because of the cold ocean water. While sitting at the shoreline I am reminded why the beach is my peaceful spot, with the screeching sounds of seagulls scurrying about for food along the shore line, the smell of barbeque cooking, loud music coming from the jeeps passing by, and families coming together. Being relaxed and at peace I allow myself to drift off for a peaceful nap. I am soon awoken by the tide coming in, I open my eyes, and to my surprise, I see the setting sun hanging in the sky like a red-orange balloon off in the distance. I find myself alone on the beach. The surf has ceased to crash on the shores, the placid waves gently roll onto the sand. The sky is transformed into a colorful horizon; filled with endless streams of purple and…

I am surrounded by pink and orange colors layered with a slightly hazy film. Small, wet droplets hit the side of my face. The gritty feeling in between my toes is chilling but yet very pleasing. A few strands of my blonde hair brush across my face caused by the wind whistling through the fishy tasting air. I can smell the saltiness lurking above the water as the clear liquid creeps closer to my buried toes. The sound of the gentle crashes comes from in front of me and beyond under the pink and orange sky.…

Sitting down and enjoying the tranquil setting around them and not having one thought of significance. I watch with fascination at families playing and swimming in the exhilarating water as I too crave join in. Above me the sea gulls saw, hovered and circled around me, diving occasionally, into the water catching the unsuspecting fishes. In the distance I could sense the rhythmic waves murmuring, thumping, and crashing; competing with the sounds of the seagulls. The cloudless blue sky surrounded a peaceful atmosphere at the beach.…
