In conclusion, I won't say if they should stay or not, but instead, I think that wherever animals are, they will always be hunted. Animals are like humans, but we are more intelligent. If it were the opposite, do you think animals would keep us in a zoo?

Zoos appear to be fun, but as you get more in depth are they what they seem to be? If animals could talk they would answer that question with “no” but, they cannot. So, instead of them telling you the horrors of zoos, I will. In zoos, animals are forced to live in a small area and have to learn to adapt to a new lifestyle. Some animals suffer from serious problems that they would most likely not experience if they were not in a zoo. Zoos affect the animals wildlife, their natural behavior, and zoos cause injuries and deaths upon animals and humans.…

If we were to release them back into their natural habitat they will have difficulty in either finding a food source or being able to tell who is a poacher or a wildlife ranger. Animals who have been captive for most of their life are dependent of their caregivers and are not suited to be in their natural habitat. Most animals won’t get accepted into a herd or be able to adapt to that kind of lifestyle which they have never experienced. In the following passages I will explain the main reasons why I strongly believe that animals that have been held in captivity should remain in…

As humans inhabit more and more of the earth’s land, some species of wildlife are more likely to be found in captivity than in their natural habitat. But is that a good thing? Keeping animals captive might not be in our best interest. Caging theses animals up for zoo can be compared to imprisonment for animals. It makes profits for zoos and aquariums while these wild animals suffer. They take away from these animals being free, just so they can entertain humans. Lastly it takes away these the freedom of animals, preventing them from being truly what they are, and that is wild animals. So these animals shouldn't be captive to zoos and aquariums.…

Here are some reasons that being in captivity is good. The first reason that captivity is good is, being safe from hunters so they don’t get killed the zoos are guarded by workers and security guards. The other great thing about captivity is you get to eat whenever you want when you are in the wild you have to hunt for your food. The last thing is that you can not get eaten by other animals because it is a separate exhibit so the other animals can’t get you.…

It's undeniable that most animal zoos or such organizations really have relevant knowledge, offer suitable environments and rescue animals from danger. It seems animals can live safely and freely in captivity. However, it is too hasty to say so, since they would lose the most essential characteristic, which is called feral behaviour. There is no any difference between a cat and a Chinese Tiger, if the tiger lost…

With zoos, what you see is not what you get. Animals kept in captivity, don’t act naturally. Normally, there will be a small plaque outside their enclosure, giving you information on what the animal’s do in the wild etc. In the enclosure, they are confined to a small space, where as in the wild; they have all the space they need to wander about. If the animals are brought up in the enclosure; they will never know what life would be like if they were out in the wild, unless they are released back in to the comfort of their own habitat. A lot of animals are taken from their habitat, and in to zoos. Many people disagree with this, and have evidently protested against it. The situation, can lead to the animals behaving un-naturally. You’d probably get more information from nature programs on the television than you would by visiting a zoo. In nature programs, you see animals running around, catching their food and generally enjoying life. This is not the case in zoos, as they have no free space, they get fed by the zoo keepers and are being pestered by visitors every day of the year.…

Many people that have physically seen zoos assume that the animal’s freedoms have been taken away from them, that their life is dull and has no purpose in life, well they are wrong. Animals taken out of the wild and placed in zoos are protected from diseases. They have food given to them daily, and lastly are protected from other carnivores or dangers in the environment. Due to these statements, in my opinion zoos are a better home for animals compared to the wild.…

The question of the necessity of zoos is very controversial nowadays. There are many people who advocate for replacing them with sanctuaries as they believe money spent on keeping wild animals captive might have been better used for conserving them in wild. Others think that zoos serve not only for people's pleasure but for preserving and keeping populations that otherwise would go extinct. There are a lot of arguments for both points of view, and a great number of articles are dedicated to this significant topic. “Do elephants belong in zoos?” by Jeffrey P. Cohn and “Eight reasons why zoos are good for conservation” by James Borrell are the examples of them. The opinions expressed there are mostly similar as it is stated that zoos are definitely…
