Pakistani Youth’s Role in Development
The Pakistani Youth has stepped on a train named as destiny that takes its passengers on the path towards development. Since the establishment of Pakistan, youth had always been crushed and oppressed by teachers, leaders and parents. Moreover the role of youth in politics has always been limited due to corrupt and inept political system. They failed to get exposed to the world that could lead to a new era of modernization. As the clock ticked and time flew, things started to change their discourse. The new century brought about much advancement along with the change in trends of Pakistani youth.
Problems of Youth in Pakistan:
Alongside the changing trends in 21st century, problems of Pakistani youth have started to dwindle. The world is a continuous process of change and so it brings with it distinctive features in which modernization in youth plays huge importance. As globalization took place, it became harder for teachers, leaders and parents to further hold back youth in homes. These students found their way to their demands. The supply had always been short but this time these young Pakistanis created their own demand and became their own suppliers. They have started to negate the old irrational conventions that have been down streaming their lives. Through the use of media, internet and self right realization; these rising humans instilled with great zeal and zest have found a common point where they could lead their lives with cultural and contemporary trends.

Education is a universal, fundamental human right, recognized by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and reaffirmed in international human rights conventions. In this era of technology, advancement and globalization, education is the key to success and peace. Education is considered as the cheapest defense of a nation. But the worst condition of education in Pakistan reflects the fact that it is unable to defend its own sector. Though 62 years have passed and 23 policies and action plans have been introduced yet the educational sector is waiting for an effective educational reforms. With respect to Human Development Index, Pakistan has been placed by UNDP at 136th position, lower than some of its regional neighbors like Sri Lanka, Maldives, India and Myanmar mainly due to its low literacy rate and low primary level enrolment. In different reports the Ministry of Education claimed that literacy in Pakistan is over 50%, but open sources disagree with it and they say that it is merely 35%. Ratio of budget indicates the level of importance given by a nation to the education. Historically, Pakistan has been spending less on education, as compared to other countries in the region. Pakistan spends less than 2% of its GDP on education which is less than Iran, India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Maldives the neighboring countries of Pakistan, the world standard stands at 5% of the GDP. With such non serious attitude towards Education, there remains a dearth of well educated and skillful individuals. Among the SAARC Nations, Pakistan is at the sixth and at the 159th position among the 174 World countries.…

There is a dire need to augment modernization in Pakistan for its promotion will certainly even out extremism as well as an increasing radicalization in the country. Those in favour of modernization argue that it boosts the economy as well as the social standing of the society. Improved infrastructure, excelling education and a sense of achievement, universalism and individualism can be directly attributed to the theory which is certainly required in Pakistan. The Battles of the Youth Bulge. Prime among these is a demographic youth bulge of historic proportions that burst the precar¬ious piping of the old political and socioeco¬nomic structures and will continue to over¬whelm the social and institutional orders of the region for some time. Two thirds of the population is under the age of 30 and their search for jobs, identity, and empowerment will fuel the tumult of the region for many years. Economies are not creating jobs fast enough to accommodate them; governance structures are not opening up sufficiently to include them; and their search for iden¬tity has spurred movements as disparate as pro-democracy civic action, radical nation¬alism, and messianic dreams of a revival of the caliphate. This bulge will take at least a couple of decades to work—or break—its way through the system.…

In the waning years of the 60s the gathering storm of youth unrest was already discernible on the horizon but few paid any attention. Being involved in tertiary education and the Catholic student movement in the Asian region, Fr. Balasuriya was attuned to the changing mood of the youth in the country. He realized that education as it was imparted then failed to meet the aspirations of the youth, especially those in rural hinterland, and that they were becoming increasingly restless at the prospect of being unemployed graduates. The youth…

Idiosyncratic gadgets having synched into the lives of the youths have made more independent individuals who are hooked 24/7 to them, either it be on a Smart Phone or Tablet or iPod. Free apps which have flooded the markets are an easy access to anyone with a Smart Phone or a Tablet, who is even willing to BUY them for self gratification. Gone are the days when the urban teens were seen loitering in the neighbourhood or in the streets and hanging out with friends and were chided for malicious and outrageous behaviour. The modern technology has succeeded in keeping the teens and the youths hooked onto the gadgets, that it could be said that not only the world is in one’s palm, but sin too. A quick glance at the popular apps of Smart Phones makes one wonder at the rampant production and distribution of such explicit graphic material and also makes one question the intentions of such producers, who otherwise write and speak with gentleness using politically correct words. Whose boardroom meetings and marketing strategies tap into the indulgence of the youths and turn it into a good marketing avenue and make profit at the loss of the teen souls.…

To set up ETRN, you need to configure the server and the client separately. The ISP usually configures the server side. The setup is simple if your ISP is using Exchange Server. Go to the Connections tab of the IMS property sheet. Under Message delivery, click E-Mail Domain. Add the customer's domain name and select the Queue messages for ETRN check box, as you see inScreen 1. If you don't check this box, the ISP server will immediately attempt to deliver messages even though the ETRN client is offline. Checking this box prevents unsuccessful retries and nondelivery reports (NDRs) back to the originator. ISPs that don't use Exchange Servers can configure the Sendmail utility for ETRN capability.…

The White Paper on Education was disseminated end December 2006, as a pre-policy document to stimulate a discussion of major policy issues concerning education in Pakistan. It was to be succeeded by a draft policy document after full and due consideration of comments received from all stakeholders and development of financial scenarios on the basis of unit costs of different initiatives to be provided by provincial governments and an agreement on identified and committed resources available for investment in education over the next ten years by all providers of such investments. The draft policy document, therefore, is to determine policy targets committed to by all stakeholders and also prioritize these targets enabling realistic implementation plans to be prepared. The financial numbers are still awaited, as are comments from the provincial and area governments (except the Government of Punjab whose comments were received on 27th February, 2007). The drafting of the policy document must await these absolutely essential inputs. However, the White Paper has evoked some very valid and well considered comments and observations. Some…
