Young Generation: Future Face of Islam
Assalamu’alaikum Wr.Wb.
The honorable juries, committees and all the participants. It is a great honor for me to join this English speech contest.

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim
In the name of Allah, the most Merciful and the most Gracious
All praises be to Allah SWT, the lord of the world, the master of the day after, the creator of everything in this universe.
Peace and Salutation be upon our prophet Muhammad SAW, who has brought us from the darkness into the brightness and guided us into the right way of life.

Ladies and Gentleman,my name is Ahmad Danial Bin Yusoff and I represent Salman Al-Farisi. Today I would l like to talk about ‘Young Generation: Future Face Of Islam’.
The former president of Indonesia, Soekarno had once said, ‘give me ten youths and I will shake the world’. From his words we know that the young generation are the hope of the nation. They will be the one that carry the responsibilty for the sake of a brighter future of the country. At the same time, they are the one that hold the future of Islam. They will be the one to strive for the good of Islamic teaching in the next generation, maintaining the Islamic law and protecting the next generation from the influence of the destructive western lifestyle. They will be the future’s leaders. And for that reason, they must play their role accordingly. I shall present some ways for the young to take their role seriously.
My first point is the young generation must manage their time wisely. There is an Arabic quote that goes, ‘Time is like a sword,if you don’t use it carefully you will hurt yourself’. The teenager can use their time wisely by having a hobby like playing football, sewing and reading various kind of books. If they learn to manage their time wisely, they will be the role model for the peers. They can even attract people of other religions to learn more about Islam. The prophet Muhammad SAW also said, ‘ keep five things before five things come. One of the five things is, keep your

Islam today is facing challenges from within and from the wider world. The critical problems are the fundamental tensions within Islam. The attitudes and criticisms common in the outside world can be ignored as misguided or hostile, but the tensions within Islam throughout the world must be confronted. In a simple geographical sense, Islam has to come to grips with its changing centres. The religious centres define the heartland: Saudi Arabia maintains its guardianship of the shrines at Mecca and Medina, and the conduct of the hajj, against the claims of Shii Iran, the Shii tradition, and other sects disillusioned with Saudi Arabia 's credentials within the ummah. Saudi Arabia enjoys much of its strength to repudiate other claims because it remains the economic centre of the ummah. It takes a combination of the incomes of Kuwait, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Iran and Yemen even to come close to Saudi Arabia 's oil wealth. However, this wealth is based on finite resources, and in the years to come the economic centre will shift to those parts of the Muslim world with sustainable resources and reproductive assets. West Asian financial investments recognise this long-term problem, but they remain overwhelmingly located in the Western and non-Muslim economies. The intellectual centre of Islam is Al-Azhar in Cairo. The ideas and attitudes taught here are spread throughout the ummah, particularly through the population centres of Islam: Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, India and Malaysia. The relative power of the different centres is shifting. Over time the claims on and against the heartland from and by the peripheral Muslim communities will exacerbate the tensions already present. The conservative centre will be under greater pressure from the more vigorous, prolific and liberal Muslim societies on the periphery.…

The Battles of the Youth Bulge. Prime among these is a demographic youth bulge of historic proportions that burst the precar¬ious piping of the old political and socioeco¬nomic structures and will continue to over¬whelm the social and institutional orders of the region for some time. Two thirds of the population is under the age of 30 and their search for jobs, identity, and empowerment will fuel the tumult of the region for many years. Economies are not creating jobs fast enough to accommodate them; governance structures are not opening up sufficiently to include them; and their search for iden¬tity has spurred movements as disparate as pro-democracy civic action, radical nation¬alism, and messianic dreams of a revival of the caliphate. This bulge will take at least a couple of decades to work—or break—its way through the system.…

American Muslim women today are struggling to address the stereotypes and misconceptions associated with the role of women in Islam. Muslim women occupy a wide variety of positions in American life: medical doctors, engineers, lawyers, chemists, housewives, broadcast journalists, professors, clerical workers, business women, schoolteachers. Some are immigrants, from countries ranging from sub-Saharan Africa to Indonesia, while many others are American-born; some American Muslim women were raised in Muslim homes, while others embraced Islam as adults. Some Muslim women cover their head only during prayer in the mosque;…

I was thinking, that how we can change Pakistan in a positive way. What can the youth do for making Pakistan a safe homeland where equality can rule and injustice can be eliminate? I always wanted to contribute in society in a positive change; but I couldn’t find any platform for that, I always wish that someday I could do anything for the people who want some help. I am not the only one who thinks in this way but I am damn sure that half of the youth want to do something which could bring change in our country. We have experience the passion of our youth in the time of earthquake and the recent flood and these are the best example of unity and patriotism for the country and its people.…
