Some important athletes want to make the world a better place through their fame and money. Three important and recognized athletes are the baseballist Yogi Berra, the amazing soccer player Pele, and the famous gymnast Nadia Comaneci.
First of all Yogi Berra was a son of italian immigrants, born in Missouri. He grew up playing baseball on neighborhood streets. He knew well how to play the sport, and at the age of 18, he joined the New York Yankees. Moreover, he hit a home run in his first big league game, what made him more famous and became one of the greatest players in baseball history. During his career, he received the Most Valuable Player Award three times, and many other important rewards. However, he was a humble person that dedicated his life to charities, youth organizations, and philanthropic efforts. Also, he has the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center, where he provides education on team building and leadership.
