Xbox: Favorite Hobbie
I was born in the era where technology was developing and making a name for its self for this new generation. Through my childhood I was introduced to television, cell phones, and the computer, but there was something that caught my attention the most, which were video games. This huge franchise of entertainment would change my life forever, it created this barrier from keeping me inside the house, it gave me this obsession to continue playing, the desire to win. But most importantly it brought happiness to me and it became one of my favorite hobbies I enjoy doing even till this day. One of my favorite systems I enjoy playing would have to be the Xbox because it provides you with online, has the best game titles, and variety’s of apps to download. Online has to be one of many reasons why I enjoy playing Xbox so much. Being able to communicate with others around the world internationally wise is amazing. I get to meet new people, make new friends, socialize and best of all, play against my friends or other people that are online as well. Online makes everything so much fun. It allows you to play co-op, which allows you to play the game with a partner or a group to go through the games story together; for example, helping each other going through hard objectives such as having to kill a wave of zombies, having to kill a boss, or something that requires two players in order to complete the objective of the game. Playing online really brings this passion inside of me to win, the adrenaline rush that it creates that makes me feel like I’m in the game fighting for my life. It really brings the competitiveness within me to show the other players that I’m better than them. Afterwards, it’s so enjoyable hearing what the opposing team has to say when you beat them at the game. Its either they compliment you and show good sportsmanship or they shall just hate. Xbox has to be one of the best systems with a great amount of selections when it comes to game titles. I

There are few professional sports rivalries that compare to that of the Yankees and the Red Sox or the Flyers and the Penguins. Well since the year 2006 when Playstation 3 was released there has been a much heated rivalry between the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3. It has been a nonstop war for the development of the superior gaming system. There are many reasons one could say that one console is better than the other. In saying this, the users are correct. Each console does in fact have attributes that give one the edge over the other. As an online gamer myself, I do in fact own a Playstation 3. When one is in the market for a new gaming experience, deciding which console to purchase can be as painful as pulling teeth. Some factors that should be considered during the shopping process should be quality of online multiplayer, entertainment value, and most important to me was obtaining the most “bang for my buck.”…

Video games and computer games (from here on both categories will be simply referred to as video games for simplicity) have entered the domain of pop culture fairly recently. Although the first video game was developed in 1958 by William Higginbotham, their popularity didn’t occur until the seventies with the appearance of Pac-man and Frogger in the arcades (Computer and Video Games). If the younger generation of video game consumers would take a look at what was out there when the video game boom begun they wouldn’t be able to understand what was so attractive (and addictive?) about Pac-man and Frogger? The truth is, video games from over three decades ago share the same basic principles with the games we have out there right now. Let’s face it, we like video games because they provide us with interactive entertainment. In other words, we’re genuinely entertained by colorful objects that move on the TV/computer screen when we press certain buttons. I suggest that it is the overwhelming gratification that we experience from actually having absolute and unconditional control over something in our lives. Another suggestion that I have is that video games share the same elements or even directly imitate traditional games such as tag, ping-pong, chess, hopscotch etc.; video games allow us to engage in these games easily, without any stigma or significant effort on our parts. Video games are fun, inexpensive, can become a social activity allowing friends to play along, and sometimes they’re even mentally stimulating if not challenging. They’ve been a real hit every since they came out and today the video game industry has grown significantly. However, let’s examine the circle of people that are involved in production and design of video games.…

In primary school, I was interested on playing cards such as Yu-Gi-Oh, and learned how card trading works. Enough of toys back then I was interested in bicycle mainly because it is the only transport I can use that time. We had a race every evening when going back from school. When my bicycle broke down, I remembered the time when I had to collect every bicycle part from junk and make a new one by myself and that was so satisfying. Next I was into games. I started playing it on pc until it broke down. Then I was so passionate of having a console so I decided to score in my exams to earn them by asking my parents. At that time I have owned collections of console such as Game Tape, Playstation 1, Playstation 2 and the last one Xbox360 and until now I played games on my laptop.…
