Xaverian Brothers High School Analysis
We came too far to scrap everything. It was autumn. That time of the year where students struggle to get back into the flow of their everyday schedule after a summer of winding down. That wasn’t the case for me. I was a junior at Xaverian Brothers high school, who flew through my freshman and sophomore year of high school like it was nothing, and was ready to start the most important year of my high school career. I knew what lied ahead, SAT’s, the common application and more importantly deciding on what I want to do with my life. Looking for opportunities around the school to help guide me down this path, my history teacher from the year before invited me to partake in a brand new after school program. This program was a competition, where teams around the state developed an idea as if they were entrepreneurs, and presented it to judges, where they would evaluate it and decide on a winner. Curiosity got the best of me, so I decided to sign up.

The group I was with was composed of two seniors that wanted to win as much as I did. We tossed around ideas until we came up with a revolutionary piece of technology that was sure to be a success we thought. The idea was a watch that was designed for high level athletes and bodybuilders, that would track your exercises and create a workout plan that would best fit your body’s conditions. The idea was too perfect. My interest in bodybuilding motivated me to research into the technology surrounding the monitoring the human body, while my other group members worked out developing a presentation.
