Effectiveness of policies procedures, training within your organisation that promotes equality, diversity and inclusion. Propose improvements to address any gaps or shortfalls in systems and processes

The systems we use at Ashcott house to promotes equality, diversity and inclusion are policies and procedures
QA audits
Management regulation 10 audits
In house management audits, reviews, evaluations of support plans.
Team meetings and supervisions
Assessments, support plans and risk assessment. interviews Ideally all assessments and “my plans” should be completed and discussed with the individual, to provide a sense of control over their own care and to be included in the provision of care.

With this information we use it to inspire, inform, lead the staff team to provided the quality care to meet the individual’s needs. As manager I need to leave my own values and beliefs regarding diversity, equality to encourage non-judgemental, anti-discriminatory practices, whilst using the policy, procedures and current legislation and guidelines to inform practices.

We use the audits, policies and procedures (informed by legislation and codes of practices), reviews to inform our practices, inform staff of best practices and areas for discussion for improvement in staff meetings, training or if needed on a personal level through supervisions. This only works if audits are completed and the review/audit’s are effective and informative.
QA regularly review policies and procedures and update them according to any changes in legislation. In house audits for compliance of QA policies and procedures are also regularly undertaken which inform us as managers as to action which need to take place. Compliance for support plans (My plans) again depends on staff reading the plans and following them, this will be evidenced in reviews and discussions with the individual, and how we are following the policies and procedures which we use to enable support to take place, stay
