I am studying to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. I am writing to appeal for my financial aid. I feel a letter was proper because of certain circumstances that occurred during my life that contributed to me withdrawing from Psychology, College prep writing, college prep arithmetic and failing PRN 0374. I began attending Miami Dade College in the fall of August 2006 right after I graduated from high school. I enrolled in several courses which were Psychology, College prep writing and College prep arithmetic.…

Good afternoon Stephanie, I am the EEO Counselor you talk to earlier about a possible EEO complaint. Please remember that you have forty-five calendar days from the alleged act of discrimination to file an EEO complaint with our office. Some other options you may want to explore are reporting the incident to the Area Manager's supervisor or contact the union. If the complaint is EEO related, then you must filled out a 1877 (Pre-Complaint Intake form) and submit it back to me within forty-five days. If the incident is not EEO related, you can also request mediation through the EEO or the Union to resolve the issue with your Area Manager. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.…

My name is Ali Shaheed and I am writing to appeal my suspension from financial aid. I hope that you will reconsider your decision and grant my financial aid. I would like to begin thanking you in advance for taking the time to read this letter and consider my request to reinstate my financial aid at Henry Ford Community College. I take full responsibility for my unsatisfactory completion rate, but I would like to explain the circumstances. I started my first semester at HFCC in winter 2012, and I failed to attend my classes due to my mother being sick, and I had to rush her to the hospital every other day. I had to take care of her because I’m the only one she had. In a result I failed to make satisfactory academic progress due to me not attending classes.…

I am writing to you as the parent of two Caesar Rodney School District students and a Registered Nurse currently pursuing a BSN through the University of Phoenix. I understand we share an interest in promoting healthy eating habits and providing nutritious meals for the children attending school within the Caesar Rodney School District. I commend you for instituting a child nutrition program and the addition of the Caesar Rodney High School Wellness Center providing for student’s health needs. Therefore, I trust you will share my concern regarding childhood obesity. The United Nations Health Decade has partnered with the World Health Organization in acknowledging the epidemic of obesity as a global issue, affecting both adults and children. In an effort to improve global health, the UN Global Health Decade has established Millennium Development Goals to reduce death and disease worldwide. The threat to health caused by obesity is rapidly growing within the United States and other developed countries. Obesity is so widespread and commonplace; it has replaced the conventional threats to global health once held by malnutrition and infectious disease. More than one-third of children and adolescents are overweight or obese (Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 2011). The unhealthy lifestyles and lack of nutritional knowledge is being passed down from obese adults to their children. Therefore, childhood obesity has become more prevalent, jeopardizing the health of future adults. According to the U.S. Surgeon General, since 1980 the number of overweight children has doubled and the number of adolescent has tripled (World Health Organization, 2011). Community involvement from schools, government, and…

We are writing to you to advocate for the continuance of Miss. Degenhardt’s (Profe) teaching career at Darien High School. We write with the purpose to make you aware of Profe’s profound impact on the community and the growth of her students both in the context of academics and ethics; her notable qualities and dedication to her profession are of a role model. While Profe’s style of teaching is unorthodox at some points, this unorthodoxy provides students with a diverse and meaningful education in an otherwise, orthodox day. A quality that is central to Profe’s teaching and persona is her receptiveness to student opinion, which in our opinion should be a constant in all student-teacher relationships. For example, if a student feels that a decision in terms of either a grade or punishment she made was unjust, Profe is fully open to a one-on-one discussion, either during a mutual free or before or after school. Profe’s actions reject the notion of “my way or the highway” and epitomize the characteristic of open-mindedness: a quality that is crucial in our increasingly globally connected society. For a personal anecdote, during a student’s sophomore year he felt that he did not deserve grade X; therefore, he approached Profe and asked to meet with her before school. The student and Profe discussed the grade and while the grade remained unchanged, he had a better understanding as to why he received grade X and how he can avoid receiving grade X in the future. In another, unrelated circumstance, Profe organizes an annual in-class food drive to afford families in the Bronx a decent Thanksgiving meal, which reveals her altruism and devotion to paying it forward. Moments such as these are what define Profe’s impact and overall career to DHS and academia. As a community, we are here to support a teacher who has supported us. Thank you in advance for your time.…
