The first step in improving or determining your leadership style is to understand yourself, knowing what you want, perhaps knowing your ideal workplace. Based on my Work Culture Preferences activity, one of the results is a culture in which I can control my own work schedule. This tells me that I should find a company that progresses gradually. By identifying my ideal workplace, I can work to become a better leader by adding my knowledge, skills, personal abilities and my strengths. Identifying my ideal work culture is as important as my experience, qualification and education. I need to be consistent with the company’s culture in order for me to land on my dream job or position. Determining my ideal workplace will allow me to select a workplace or company where my leadership style fits and can be its asset. Understanding my leadership style can help me understand my strengths and weaknesses that will help me to be more effectively define my values and help me aid my communication to those that work with me.
