Introduction
Wipro Technologies Limited, a division of Wipro Limited (NYSE:WIT), is a giant information technology services corporation headquartered in Bangalore, India. Today, Wipro generates USD 6 billion (India GAAP figure 2009-10) of annual revenues. Its equity shares are listed in India on the Mumbai Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange; as well as on the New York Stock Exchange in the US. Their major geographic focus is given on countries like US, Europe, Japan and APAC.

They are the leading end-to-end IT service provider of integrated business, technology and offering process solutions on a Global Delivery Platform.

– Technology Infrastructure Services
– Business Process Outsourcing

Wipro enables business results by being a ‘transformation catalyst’. It offers integrated portfolio of services to its clients in the areas of Consulting, System Integration and Outsourcing for key-industry verticals.

Scope of the Report

This report covers a brief overview of the Wipro Technologies and the strategies used by the Wipro Technologies to be globally competitive. The report also contains analysis of the company based on the PEST Analysis and Porter‘s Diamond.

A Brief History of Wipro LTD

Wipro Limited was established in 1945 in Bangalore, India, as Western India Vegetables Products Limited. Azim H. Premji has been Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of Wipro Ltd. since September 1968. The company started its operations with the manufacturing of hydrogenated vegetable oil in Maharashtra founded by Azim Premji’s father.

Azim Premji succeeded his father and repositioned Wipro into a consumer goods company that produced hydrogenated cooking oils/fat company, laundry soap, wax and tin containers and later set up Wipro Fluid Power to manufacture hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders in 1975.

    Verbal communication can either be done face-to-face or over the telephone. The best way to communicate is face-to-face because there is less space for misunderstanding and it allows for verbal and non-verbal messages. The advantage of using verbal information is it's easier to communicate verbally than any other way because you get to understand every detail that is being spoken by the other person and speech enables complex ideas to be expressed and discussed. Some people find talking is the most comfortable method of expression. For example, Drayton Manor communicates with their staff verbally at a staff meeting about the new plans for the business and the changes that is happening and this is an advantage because the staff get to ask questions about the changes and they can get there opinions across about the plans. Also the employee will feel appreciated by the employer if they are being listened about their opinions which can lead the employee to stay in the business but the disadvantage is if Drayton Manor makes decisions about the improvement of the theme park without the employee's knowledge then this can lead for the employee to resign the job. The disadvantage of using verbal information is that it's not always possible for Drayton Manor to meet in person because with the constraints of time and budgets in business.…
