ASSIGNMENT 1 (BASED ON CLASS 1)
If the jurisdiction follows the rule that "issue" means per stirpes then:
Samantha would be entitled to 1/3 of the $200,000 inheritance equaling $66,666.66.
The living decendents of Steve being Don, Donna, Doug, and Derek would split their father's 1/3 of the
$200,000 inheritance equaling $16,666.66 to each.
The living decendents of Tina being Alicia and Allison would split their mother's 1/3 of the $200,000 inheritance equaling $33,333.33 to each.

If the jurisdiction follows the rule that "issue" means per representation then:
Samantha would get 1/3 of the $200,000 inheritance equaling $66,666.66.
The remaining living decendents of John being Don, Donna, Doug, Derek, Alicia, Allison would each get
1/6 of 2/3 of the $200,000 inheritance equaling $22,222.22 for each person.

    In a stunning turns of events, Batman gave up crime fighting to start mass producing Batmobiles for GM in Michigan. Batman did this for many years. This was a disappointment to crime fighters everywhere. Batman, 70 years old, Married Catwoman, 35 years old, & they lived happily for many years. But when he was 77 years old Batman’s mind started to slip, often finding himself unaware of his surroundings. She also told Batman that he had promised to change his will to include her. Although Batman had no recollection of saying that, he figured that it was just his faulty memory and he believed what Catwoman told him. In fact Catwoman was lying & Batman had never made such promise. Nevertheless, Batman caved and changed his will to suit Catwoman’s wishes. 2 years later, Batman died of a heart attack brought on by too much stress when he was younger. Catwoman moved for the will to be admitted to probate. The organizations beneficiaries of Batman first will appeared in the court to argue that the second will should be invalidated because Catwoman exerted undue & unfair influence over Batman in the process of the re-doing of Batman’s will. Under Michigan law anytime a will is made by someone who is of weakened mind & a will is made to meet the wishes of another it is considered undue & unfair influence.
