Wildfires Research Paper

Wildfires can be very dangerous fires that are likely to burn down an entire forest. They spread very quickly, and they are very damaging and can throw an ecosystem off balance. These roaring fires are very destructive and can cause all lot of harm so it’s important that you take caution. Some of the extreme damage it can cause is not only burn down a forest, but destroy acres of land, that could be someone’s property and home. The highest number of Wildfires that have ever occurred in the U.S. are 96,385 fires in the year 2006, with 9.87 million acres destroyed. One being the destruction of a forest, which also means throwing an ecosystem off balance. Secondly destroying forests means destroying resources for humans, because humans need trees for a number of resources. When a Wildfire occurs it doesn’t only take down a forest but then can cause a ripple in the ecosystem’s course. Once hundreds and thousands of trees are killed due to one of these Wildfires, it causes many animals to lose their habitat, the food chain is no longer standing and everything topples over. The entire ecosystem loses course and everything is destroyed. These are the effects a Wildfire has on the ecosystem. As for humans, if we lose trees we can’t survive considering the fact that trees provide us oxygen, which is our life source. If so many trees are killed, because of Wildfires then we wouldn’t have any air to breath in. On the contrary, we also need trees for lumber, shade, to conserve energy, water, and many other reasons. Meaning that if we wanted to we could stop Wildfires in a couple different ways. Of course if the disaster is caused naturally, there is nothing we could do to help, but if humans intentionally cause these Wildfires we could take a stand to stop this. Or just make sure that even accidentally Wildfires never spark. Some ways we can make sure of this is to not start a fire when it’s high winds, don’t leave a campfire unattended, contact the police and fire department immediately if you see any signs of fire in your location or while camping, and stay away from anything that can cause Wildfires. You always want to make sure your safe, while also making sure that you are not endangering anyone else’s lives. Don’t be careless and try to help prevent Wildfires rather than strike
