Why I Want to Attend College
Marlow Jones Jr Petersburg High School My plans for next year are to attend college and earn a degree in the fields of architect engineer and fine arts.
My dream is to use my drawing skills to become a successful architect. When I look back on my life, I see myself being a fine artist and an architect. First, I have to continue drawing and keep making excellent grades. Then, I want to attend a college that has the best fine arts and architect program. Finally, I must graduate college with a degree in fine art and architect while becoming an architect at my own firm. To obtain my dream goal I must complete various steps. I have to finish high school strong. As well as, studying and working hard to become very knowledgeable of the industry. I also have to work hard and better myself and others. Most importantly, I have to seek opportunity to get involved in the community. I plan on being a productive member of society by using my talents to give back to the community. To complete my first task I would have to stay focus, study, and complete all art courses. Currently I have a grade point average of 4.1. I believe if I keep up my enthusiasm for school, I would graduate in the top tenth percent of my class. Recently I was awarded first place of the Virginia School Board Association art contest. I have a deep passion for buildings artistically; also, I admire many buildings and appreciate monumental buildings. For example, The Taj Mahal is a monumental building and is architectural building famous for its onion dome. Furthermore, I have to attend a four year college to obtain the best fine arts and architect degree. In fact, Hampton University and University of Virginia has a successful architect and fine arts program. While in college I plan on starting an internship to become knowledgeable on how the industry operates. Also while in college I want to keep a strong network with my peers so that I can stay in contact with a variety of people.
