Why I Need Money
Those who don’t have money want it, and those that do have money want even more of it. In today’s world, money is so highly valued that most people don’t even know what to do with it. Whether to save it for something great, spend every dime, or put it away with no intent to spend it but know it’s there. Everyone dreams of growing up without money being an issue, without owing a single cent to anyone, without having to take out loans and pay over amounts of interest. However, when it comes down to college and school, people will owe great amounts of money and take out loans worth thousands of dollars. However, some are lucky enough to not pay anything. Without scholarship opportunities the majority of the people attending colleges today wouldn’t be able to afford going to school. Their parents have little money and have trouble paying bills, let alone sending a child to a school worth over $100,000. They would be left without a college education working for minimum wage trying to feed themselves. Those are the people that you look at and think, “I don’t want to be like that.” I was looking at scholarships one day and I came to realize something: the society today absolutely loves minorities. For example, there was a scholarship for someone that was left-handed, blue eyed, and a varsity letter winner in high school. Realizing that I didn’t fit in any scholarship requirements I came across, I knew I had to do something to earn all the money I can. Only one thing came across my mind, Golf. I knew that if I could excel in sports then I could get large amount of money through athletic scholarships. And that is exactly what happened. I have always wanted to play college golf, so that is what I put my mind to. Getting everything paid for throughout school is very hard to do. That is where needing money comes into play. I am not exactly sure as of now how much money in athletics I will end up getting by the time I get to college, but I do know
