Drunk driving is when you operate a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level over the legal state limit. Even though with all the warnings, higher penalties, educational programs, and awareness, people still drive while under the influence. While the numbers of drunk driving have gone down in the past years, anyone can still be at risk rather they are driving or just the passenger. You should not drink and drive because of these three reasons: more likely to have a crash, poor decision making, and death.
The first reason you should not drink and drive, is because you are more likely to have a crash when doing so. Around 32% of all fatal car crashes involve drinking and driving. On average two out of three people will be in a drunk driving crash. According to Very Well, "A driver with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.10 or greater is seven times more likely to be involved in a fatal motor crash than is a driver who has not consumed alcoholic beverages."
