I disagree with the reasoning of these women, but can understand at least their fundamental qualms with feminism. However, the author of this quote does not just renounce feminism, but equality too. No matter how intensely I ponder this quote, I cannot in any way comprehend or empathize with her objections towards equality. Even the rationale she offers as an explanation I find to be disconcerting. My interpretation of chivalry is merely men being polite and respectful towards women by the execution of small, yet meaningful acts of kindness. Chivalry is not just ways upon which males can express their devotion towards the women in their life, but rather are deeds that every human, regardless of gender, should include in their everyday routine.
