Why The United States Impose The Atomic Bomb
In 1939, Einstein, a German scientist who ran away from Germany to United States, brought to Roosevelt’s attention Nazi’s intention of building an atomic weapon and he advised the United States President to build one too. Therefore, the next year Roosevelt authorized the American scientist to create such a bomb. One of the main reasons why the United States developed and deployed the atomic bomb was to win the war with as few American casualties as possible. They build the atomic bomb as a weapon of mass destruction meant to scare Japan. However, Japan didn’t believe in surrender. Therefore, on August 6, 1945, United States dropped the first atomic bomb in Hiroshima, Japan; on of the cities that hadn’t suffered much damages yet. The outcome
