Drunk driving is a crime that has escalated tremendously over the years. Even though this is a serious crime, people still choose to get behind the wheel while under the influence. Unlike other substances, alcohol is known as a depressant that it slows down the reflexes you normally would have.In fact, alcohol can affect your driving abilities by causing impaired vision, reduced reaction time and failure to obey the rules of the road ( ). Knowing this, people don’t take the rules of the road as serious as they should.Most companies will ignore any record of arrest or jail time having to due with traffic violations and DUI while looking into hiring an employee. Although these are serious crimes, they ignored as if they are not.
