Why Men Cheat

I. Some men are trifling
A.) Men do dirty things while in a committed relationship B.) Men want to fit-in

II. Some men are mack-daddies
A.) Men lie to other women B.) Men tease women heads up

III. Some men crave sexual “variety”
A.) Men want sex from other women B.) Their wife/girlfriend is not getting all of their attention

Thesis Statement: Because men are trifling, mack-daddies, and crave sexual “variety”, they think they can cheat.

It’s hard to find a good man these days. These men are always trying to get over a good woman, but we are smart and know the game. Back in my parent’s day, I think trifling men existed, but not like they do today. The game has been perfected and men have tried to make it harder. There are three categories of men: The Nobody’s, The Somebody’s, and The Nobody’s trying to get to
Somebody status. The Nobody’s are men that don’t care about trying to do better in life. The
Somebody’s are the men who can be put on a program to success. The Nobody’s that are trying to get to Somebody status are the “rejects”. This is the ugly one in the crew. Men want to fit-in too much. The reason why men cheat is as follows: they’re trifling, want to be a “mack-daddy”, and they crave sexual “variety”; consequently they are wrong.

Men are so trifling. They will do the dumbest things and lie about the stupidest things while committed to a relationship. It is not hard to stay faithful to your woman. Trifling men always seem to mess over the good women for the bad ones. As author Clarissa D. Wright says, “men want to fit-it”. They want to show out in front of their home boys bragging about their affairs with different other women while married. When you catch them in action they want to lie about it and tell us sweet things. When they see that we are serious and are going to leave they do everything they can do to get

In the case of men, it forces them to internalize and perform archetypical masculine qualities in all circumstances in order not to be considered ‘effeminate’. Thus, today’s crisis of masculinity allows us to redefine our understanding of the traits and qualities that we associate with man, male and…

In Sharon Bird’s work, “Welcome to the Men’s Club: Homosociality and the Maintenance of Hegemonic Masculinity,” she explains what is homosociality and masculinity. Homosociality is when there are no sexual attractions held by men for members of their own sex. But according to Lipman-Blumen, homosociality promotes the distinction between men and women through segregation in social institutions. Not only that, Lipman says it also promotes the distinction of hegemonic masculinity and nonhegemonic masculinity between the opposing sexes. This leads to masculinity. Masculinity in Bird’s definition is divided into three different viewpoints, emotional detachment, competitiveness and the sexual objectification of women. Bird defines masculinity as being emotionally detached from all situations. For men to express feelings is to reveal vulnerabilities and weakness. It is not considered a social norm or socially acceptable to express emotion because emotion is associated with weakness and femininity. This results in men encouraging internalizing feelings and emotions to avoid being labeled as weak by their own male group. The second viewpoint of masculinity is competitiveness. Competition with other men demonstrates male dominance and masculinity. In Bird’s case, she reveals that men always compete to prove that they are better than the other person so they could become a higher rank in their hierarchy of masculinity. Those who do not compete are considered disadvantaged and weaker. Weakness is a trait that is considered associated with femininity. “A man risks a loss of status and self-esteem unless he competes” (Bird 128). The last viewpoint of masculinity, “sexual objectification of women,” is reviewed where male superiority is maintained. To maintain male superiority, men are expected to have less heteorosocial relationships and are expected to have more homosocial relationships. The reason for this is because Bird states that men should distance themselves from women.…

The article “’Bros Before Hos’: The Guy Code” by Michael Kimmel, chronicles the negative perception that men have for the “weaker” man through a list of unwritten rules of men. It stated that this “guy code,” was or is, essentially, what defined masculinity. Many descriptions of weakness include homophobic words like “faggot” and “gay.” Words that pertain more to women, like “pussy” or “mama’s boy,” are also used as an insult to describe a man’s weakness. This is because of the low status that men had been taught throughout the years. Masculinity, Kimmel says, is attributed through peers, male figures in their lives, and a “hard-wired” definition of what being man means. Once a man steps outside of those lines, the risk is looking being emasculated.…

Dave Berry is a hilarious and captivating writer. In his article he breaks down three characteristics of what a guy, not man, is. First and foremost, he explains how guys like neat stuff, as he puts it. For example, purchasing over qualified computers for miniscule assignments. While not using the computer for its upmost potential. Or how the space shuttle is still around for guy’s entertainment. Basically, the shuttle breaks down, they fix it, and get to send it back up to space all over again. For the hundredth time. He continues to explain the next and most well-known characteristic of men. One I should have guessed, guys like a really pointless challenge. For instance trying to see who could go the fastest…

The adults are in shock and the kids are excited as if the accident was an adventure to them. As the family sit and wait for help a car comes and three men step out. One the grandmother recognizes at the Misfit. The Misfit tells them he wished she hadn’t recognized him implying that he would not have killed them if she did not. Starting with the father and son the other two guys takes all of the family except the grandmother into the woods and kills them.
