The internet is a useful tool that can help students research many topics thoroughly in a short period of time (Carr). For instance, the internet is a crucial channel that provides students across the globe with a gamut of information (Carr). While I do disagree that Google is making people stupid, I can understand how the Internet can shape a person’s though process (Carr). In my personal experience, Google has been a crucial tool for my success in school. Therefore, I a disagree with the statement that Google is making people stupid due to the fact that it provides people with immediate access to a vast channel of information.

    In the article, “How stupid is Google making us?” by William Badke responds to Nicholas Carr’s article “Is Google Making Us Stupid?” Nicholas Carr supports his argument by stating the fact that he has totally lost his ability to think and read and that the longer we work online, the less tolerance we have to concentrate and contemplate.
