The system tries to control and intimidate victims into withholding information. In the process of doing so, innocent children are experiencing endless encounters of abuse (Storm par. 6). As long as the family justice system continues to allow guilty parents to receive full custody of their children, more and more children will continue to be at further risk of abuse and neglect. Unless action is in place to ensure the well-being and safety of these children, there 's no telling how far the justice system will go.
