Why Is Deepa Bharath Wrong
The general argument made by Deepa Bharath in her article is that superiority is a huge effect that is easily done by somebody. More specifically, she argues People don't start out as lone wolves, they start out angry and bitter so that’s why they start to dehumanize others. She writes, “The 'othering' of people, the dehumanizing of groups of people, is the precursor to mass murder and turns mentally able people into killers.” In this passage, Deepa Bharath is suggesting that people don’t start showing superiority when the start getting dehumanized by someone else. In conclusion, Deepa Bharath’s belief is that superiority is learned from on what people experience and how they try and make others feel.
