Why I Want To Be A Mentor
I feel like the most important attribute for a mentor is a willingness to help other people. I think that a Year 9 Mentor should be not only be helpful, but also respectful, honest, determined and confident. I feel as though I have some of the attributes that a Year 9 Mentor needs, and the ones that I don’t have, I would really like to improve upon and try to learn more of, and I believe that being a mentor will enable me to do so. The main reason why I’d like to be a mentor Is because I understand how daunting it can be to come to a new school where you don’t know anyone, and that’s why I’d like to be there for the new year nines, as someone who utterly wants to help them and someone who they can easily approach.
