Why I Chose College
College is defined as an organized group of professional people with particular aims, duties, and privileges. It is definitely much more than that; it is more of an experience that everyone must experience. You learn to balance your money, make moral decisions, maybe ask people for loans, make everlasting friends, and get a great education. You also would get the experience of living by yourself and without your parents. That is the dream that many teenagers have and will become reality when they enter college. As a junior in high school, the college questions stat coming up. What do you want to do in college? What college do you want to go to? All these questions can be hard to answer, but I plan to answer them within this short occasional paper.

My favorite subject or topic to talk about has to be baseball. I grew up playing baseball up until eighth grade. The past two years I have been the baseball manager for the freshman and JV baseball teams at Saint John’s. In college, I would love to major in Sports Management and how to run a baseball team. I want to know about how to scout the players, the finances behind the team such as the payroll and eventually run a team myself. However the problem is none of the colleges I am looking at do not have majors in Sports management, so I would have to major in business instead, and I would just have to find an internship with a baseball team. Nevertheless, I also find U.S. History interesting and I like the course I am taking this year with Dr. McClintock. U.S. history has always been interesting to me; it is just the aspect of finding how we (the U.S.) got to where it is today. I would consider doing a double major in both business and History because both subjects are very interesting to
