In the novel Endangered by Lamar Giles, the main character Lauren, also known as “Panda” acts quite different than others. Lauren has a reputation of being invisible and unnoticed. What many do not know though is that she practices this behavior on purpose. By day she is known as the “hallway ghost” but by night she is the great author of Gray Scales, a popular magazine created to expose those who have wronged others. I think Panda acts quiet and shy on purpose because she wants to keep herself unsuspected from being the author of Gray Scales. If she were to be discovered she will surely never be accepted because of all the people she has humiliated with her breathtaking photography skills. Therefore I conclude, Panda avoids unwanted attention…

Because Panda Bears are known for their kind nature and plant-based diet they are best suited more than any other animal for sending a message about protecting our planet and keeping the peace. In Talulaville, there are also many other animals that inhabit the land, like monkeys, hippopotamus’, various birds and more. By having these other secondary characters with stories producers can implement challenging scenarios that may not necessarily affect the panda’s but give the four panda’s an opportunity to help someone…

Giant pandas are one the rarest mammals in the world. Most of them live in the bamboo forests on the mountains of middle China They eat bamboo leaves and bamboo stems, sometimes (if possible) they eat flowers and metals for snack (rarely). Giant pandas prefer to live alone, they rarely share territories although some don’t have its own territory. They are independent animals. They spend most of their time eating because bamboo doesn’t provide enough calories in order for pandas to survive. This is also the reason why giant pandas “work overtime” during winters. Giant pandas looks slow and clumsy but they are very strong and its claws are super sharp, they also have 42 strong teeth to chew hard bamboos. Adult pandas can add to 350 pounds and measure five and a half feet when it stands up. Giant pandas have weak eyesight but extremely good hearing and smelling. Giant pandas have thick furs to protect them from thorns, the oily liquid on the thick fur make it waterproof, and they also have black furs around their eyes to protect them from the reflection of the sun. During summers, giant pandas mostly feed on bamboo leaves and the rest of the year, they also eat…
The pandas’ diet is mainly dependent on bamboo and other vegetations, although they are taxonomically labeled as carnivores, as most bears are. Pandas are labeled as carnivores because they have the digestive system of a carnivore, and that system is not able to digestive or process the cellulose contained in their diet adequately. Since they cannot regularly digest the food they consume, pandas constantly eat, sometimes as much as eighty-three pounds of bamboo in one day (3, pg 1). Depending on one main food source can be dangerous, especially since the a type of bamboo called arrow bamboo, located in central China, undergoes a blossoming period once every forty-five to fifty years, which became a problem in 1983 (4, pg 2). During a blossoming period, the arrow bamboo in that location transforms into flower to scatter their seeds, and then dies (2, pg 2). The bamboo supply will become adequate for the pandas in that area…

The scene: Panda is standing on top of the rock by a blossoming peach tree, his shoulders slumped, looking at his feet. A chief master of kung fu palace, Master Oogway, arrives to the tree and finds there Panda with mouthful of peaches and few more in his hands. Oogway cheerfully praises him for finding the sacred tree of wisdom. Panda is highly embarrassed, spits out the peaches and apologizes, saying he thought it was a regular peach tree. Oogway keeps walking towards him smiling warmly and saying that he understands that Panda eats when he is upset. Panda rapidly murmurs that he has no reason to be upset so he is obviously not upset, his hands behind his back, turning to the sides and looking around. Oogway leans towards Panda and asks why is it that he is upset. After a short pause, Panda sighs and tells him that he failed a lot that day – being the biggest failure of kung fu, of china and of "suckers". Oogway agrees. He expresses his concern that the "Magnificent five" – the inhabitants of the palace and recognized kung fu warriors – hate him, with what oogway again agrees. And then the biggest concern – that Master Shifu, who is supposed to train him, will not succeed to turn him into a "dragon warrior". Panda shows his fat belly and makes comparisons with the "Magnificent five" saying he doesn’t have what it takes to become a warrior, which, eventually lead him to the conclusion that he should quit the idea of kung fu and go back to his previous job…
