Why Did Pete And Megham Hit If Off When They Met?
1. Pete and Megham did not hit if off when they met because they both had this made up versions of the other person that was perfect for them. Megham even said on page 132 “ I was horrified by the realization that I had invested so heavily in a made up character, a character in whose creation I’d had a greater hand than even Pete himself.” They may have know all about each other but email or texts can be very carefully written out while talking in real life, face to face, you don’t have the time to think about what you want to say. Megham was troubled because so had invested so much time and effort into to something that really wasn’t real. The Pete that she had made up in her head was not the real Pete and when she realized her mistake she realized just how silly she was. She even said herself that she didn’t like calling him Pete or think of him as Pete. She liked him more as PFSlider. I know I have been in similar situation as Megham where I have spent a lot of time texting a girl, but when we would meet in person we never really clicked. I think Megham learned that the best way and the safest way to meet people is in person because you can’t imagine them as something they are not. I think she also learned that she was striving for someone to make her feel special and if someone could do that it didn’t matter to her if she knew them in person or

Everyone has their own story, each one as unique as the next. Every day we encounter different people who have different experiences and different views of the world. Some, however, are closer to our stories than others. And when we meet someone extremely different from us, we tend to respond by finding the similarities in ourselves and them. Growing up with a dad in the military, and even after he left it, I lived in many different places. In every place the people were different. Every time we moved, I found myself attempting to learn how to fit in with this new group of people. This has made it easier for me to become friends with people I share almost nothing in common with. During my time living in Pennsylvania, my best friend was a girl…

At the time, Meg was absolutely sure that she was right about her accusations, but years later she explains to Mike, “You were whispering, an awful whisper, not wanting to upset little Ellie but wanting to make me see the truth. And I didn’t answer you, Mike. I was too proud” (Cormier 208). Meg realizes now, years later, that she is wrong. Mike told her all along that he never cheated on her, but she did not believe him. He told her the truth and then left it at that. Her husband Mike was telling the truth the whole time, and that shows that he is choosing the role that would be best for loved ones-honesty in this case. Telling the truth and leaving the situation aside is the best thing to do in his situation.…

I made most of my friends because I would usually be asked by them to help with problems, this allows me to gauge their intellect and value to me. I usually don’t hang with those I find “invaluable” meaning that they are the type to make poor choices. Those who I help usually tend to hang out with me more than random classmates whose names I’ve learned on the first day of school. In academics I can pick up on subjects fairly easily such as learning a new math formula or picking up on scientific theories. When it comes to technology I usually tend to do things easier online such as typing documents or helping with downloads and…

Through research it has been determined that it is usual to see people associate with people who look similar phenotypically.
