There are more relevant things in life that schools should start teaching, rather than cursive (examples: how to pay income tax, how to get a mortgage ect). It should be up to the student whether they think it would be a good idea, to enroll in a class that teaches him/her cursive. Of course, I’m not saying we should stop teaching handwriting altogether, I just think that teaching cursive, isn’t helpful. Perhaps we could teach them to sign their name, but that’s probably the only important purpose cursive serves. More people can read print rather than cursive now, & in case you didn’t know when you’ve know only how to print your whole life, it’s not easy, like… AT ALL, cursive’s never really helped me, I don’t see why so many people are trying to defend
